Do you ever feel that way?

"Do you ever feel that way?"
"Lonely?"

I search for the words. "Restless. As if you haven't really met yourself yet. As is you'd passed yourself once in the fog, and your heart leapt - 'Ah! There I Am! I've been missing that piece!' But it happens too fast, and then that part of you disappears into the fog again. And you spend the rest of your days looking for it."
He nods, and I think he's appeasing me. I feel stupid of having said it. It's sentimental and true, and I've revealed a part of myself I shouldn't have.
"Do you know what I think?" Kartik says at last.
"What?"
"Sometimes, I think you can glimpse it in another.”

Have you noticed, it's Spring at J.Crew

Don't you wish it was spring here too?   More importantly wouldn't this blouse be perfect for spring?  Love the emerald green roses and the cut looks like it would be sooo flattering.

Papi's Birthday

I spent about a half hour this morning trying to get a cute picture of Lucia happily holding up a sign saying "Feliz Cumpleanos Papi  love Lucia".  She clearly had other plans which included examining her belly button, waving the paper in air, crumpling it into a ball and hiding it under skirt.  Oh well, we tried....Happy Birthday Papi!  Te amamos mas que te puedes imaginar :).

Countdown to the Oscars

(image via The Envelope: LA Times Insider)

Have you ever watched all the movies nominated for Best Picture?  Me neither, but I've always wanted to. There is something about the Oscars that brings up visions of the glitz and glamour of old Hollywood.  Each year I love seeing the dresses and watching the acceptance speeches even if I've only seen a few of the movies but this year Esposo and I have agreed to make it our mission (ok, full disclosure, it's more my mission and his willingness but that's ok too) to see all of the Best Picture Nominees before the Academy Awards. It seems like it will make watching the Oscars so much more exciting and suspenseful when you have people and movies to root for. We've only seen The Help (which was good but not even close to as good as the book if you ask me) so we've got 8 to go before February 26th, I see lots of movie watching in our future!

Do you have any favorites?  Or Oscar predictions?
